BFWA operates in accordance with the Associations Incorporations Act 2015 (WA). We are run by a management committee.

Membership Information

Membership of the BFWA is open to any person who agrees with the purpose of BFWA.

The benefit of being a member is that you gain full voting rights at our AGM and an open invitation to committee meetings.

The funds from member fees goes to covering our small overheads including insurance, postage, web fees. It allows us to ensure that 100% of money we raise goes directly to the children - we do not take any admin fees out of your sponsor money.

  1. The annual membership fee is AUD $40 and is payable on 1 July every year. There is no joining fee. Members can join at any time.

  2. The Committee will determine the amount of the joining fee and the annual membership fee at the annual general meeting (AGM).

  3. A member ceases to be a member upon notifying in the Committee of their resignation in writing, upon death, or after a year has passed since they last paid the annual membership fee.

  4. Termination of members: The Committee may expel a member of BFWA when the management (a) considers the member’s conduct to be detrimental to the interests of the BFWA and (b) has communicated to the member of the grounds for expulsion at least 14 days before the Committee meeting in which the Committee will determine whether or not the member is to be expelled.
